Born on August 2, 2000, in Accra, Mohammed Kudus grew up in Nima, a community known for its vibrant culture but also its challenges with poverty and limited opportunities. Despite the odds, Kudus found joy in playing football on the streets with his friends and brothers. His talent was evident from a young age, and he quickly became a standout in local games.

Kudus credits much of his discipline and work ethic to his upbringing in Nima. The tight-knit community fostered a spirit of resilience and resourcefulness that he carries to this day. “Nima made me strong. It taught me to fight for everything I want,” he told Brand Focus Africa

Kudus observes Islamic traditions and incorporates them into his daily routines, even amidst the demanding schedule of professional football.

Kudus grew up in a supportive family, with his two brothers playing pivotal roles in his life. While Kudus has often spoken about the sacrifices his family made to support him, it was his mother’s unwavering dedication that left an indelible mark on his life. His mother and grandmother, who all helped to raise him, worked extremely hard to support Mohammed and his three older siblings sometimes selling a local delicacy called Tuo Zaafi and hashtags his mum as #meituo on Instagram which means the Seller of Tuo Zaafi
